RIDE-IT - Multi-path Wireless 3G/LTE Bus Router – Passenger WiFi

Triple 3G/LTE Load Balancing Bus Passenger WiFi Hotspot

The RIDE-IT bus passenger WiFi connects to the Internet using up to three independent 3G, LTE or CDMA2000 EV-DO modems. All uplinks are used in parallel with active and dynamic load balancing over all available networks creating a single bonded link. A VPN tunnel is used on each uplink. If one uplink becomes unavailable, traffic will be immediately routed to another VPN tunnel on an available uplink. The handover has no delay is and transparent to the users guaranteeing an uninterrupted Internet experience.

Combining multiple 3G/LTE/CDMA2000 uplinks with load balancing is ideal for installations where network throughput is limited or when several clients share the hotspot. The bandwidth is increased with three parallel connections, ensuring that each client will get adequate network performance.

A high accuracy GPS receiver is used to locate the vehicle. The position data is sent to a defined IP address for fleet monitoring purposes.

Configuration and management of the RIDE-IT Bus Passenger WiFi hotspot router is performed using a web browser over any available wireless up-link. Optional available software includes a complete integrated AAA back-end system as well as a RAM based fast compressing web cache software for the RIDE-IT router.
